Privacy policy

The short version: this site has no accounts and collects no personal information.

What we store on your device

The game keeps three kinds of data in your browser's localStorage, on your device:

• One saved game per difficulty: the board, your notes, elapsed time, mistake and hint counts, and your undo history. Saved on every move so you can resume where you left off.
• Your settings, such as theme, input mode and mistake checking.
• Lifetime play statistics: games completed and best time per difficulty.

None of this leaves your device. We cannot see it, and we keep no copy. Clearing your browser's data for this site deletes all of it. The cookie policy describes the storage mechanics in more detail.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email or any other personal detail. There is no account to create, no newsletter, no form anywhere on the site. We do not sell or share data with anyone, because we have none to share.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful, how visitors arrive and which difficulties get played. It reports on pages viewed, approximate location by country or city, device and browser type, and the site or search engine you came from. We never see your name, and nothing you type into a puzzle is sent anywhere.

Google processes this data as our provider, and its own handling is covered by the Google privacy policy. We do not use analytics data to identify individuals, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. The cookie policy lists the cookies involved.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on that blocks Analytics on every site you visit. Browser tracking protection and content blockers stop it too, and the puzzles work exactly the same either way.

Hosting and server logs

Like almost every website, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.

Advertising

The site currently shows no ads. If advertising is added in the future, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first to describe exactly what changes, including any third-party vendors involved and the choices you have.

Your control

Everything the site stores sits in your browser, under your control. Clear this site's data in your browser settings and every trace is gone, saved games and settings alike. The site keeps working; you simply start fresh.
